Life science helps students explore the living world and discover how God designed plants, animals, and people with incredible care and purpose. These lessons are created to encourage curiosity, observation, and awe as students learn how life works—pointing them back to the wisdom of our Creator.

What Students Will Learn

The Life Science lessons at Wonderfully Made Science focus on helping middle school students:

  • Understand living things and how they function

  • Observe patterns and relationships in God’s creation

  • Develop scientific thinking through hands-on exploration

  • Connect scientific discoveries with biblical truth

Lessons emphasize structure and function, showing how God designed every part of living systems to work together beautifully.

How These Lessons Are Designed

Life Science lessons are:

  • Designed for independent learning

  • Include hands-on activities or simple experiments

  • Integrate biblical worldview and Scripture

  • Encourage reflection and wonder, not just memorization

These lessons work well for homeschool families, co-ops, or parents who want meaningful, faith-filled science instruction.

For Parents

You don’t need to be a science expert to use these lessons. Each one is written to guide students step-by-step, making it easy for them to learn independently while still opening the door for great conversations about God, creation, and design.

  • Exploring God’s Ingenious Creations: Water and Fats
    (Structure and Properties of Matter)

    In this lesson, your child will explore the amazing properties of water and fats and see how they help animals, plants, and people thrive. Through hands-on experiments and reflection, students will observe God’s ingenious design in action and connect science to scripture—all in a fun, independent learning experience. (If you have both middle and high school students, the high school lesson that pairs nicely with this one is Lipids: Structure, Function, and Design.)
